Coopers

Brand Identity

Coopers is an established Bath-based kitchen appliance retailer with a loyal customer base.

With nearly 80 years of history, the challenge was to evolve the identity so it better reflected their expertise and the unique advantage of being a long-standing independent retailer, without losing the recognition and trust built over time. While the existing identity was familiar to customers, it no longer reflected the quality of the products or the expectations of a more premium retail environment.

I led the concept and visual direction, exploring how the identity could move forward through a new logo, typography, and colour palette. The central idea was “Trusted for Generations” - reflecting both the longevity of the business and the role these products play in customers’ everyday lives.

This led to a more considered and refined visual system, balancing heritage with a more contemporary tone. I introduced a more structured layout approach, simplified the visual language and refined key elements to improve consistency, while retaining recognisable brand cues.

The result is a more confident identity that better positions Coopers within a higher-end retail space, while remaining familiar within the local community.
